Your Route to becoming a Driver!
Once you have your licence you need to contact your me to organise your first lesson. I suggest you contact me approximately 2-4 weeks before you wish to start to learn to drive as my diary books up fast.
Your First Lesson
The first lesson is your assessment lesson; this lasts for approximately 1.5 hours and costs you £20. During this lesson you are able to assess your compatibility with your instructor and if you haven’t driven before you will be taught to move off and stop. Likewise it enables the instructor to assess how many hours in their opinion you require to reach test standard. Also we will run through the requirements of the theory test, as this is required before you may apply for your practical test. We will also discuss which route you wish to take, be it hourly lessons or an intensive course.
Intensive Courses
Intensive courses can be as intensive as you wish them to be with a maximum of 5 hours tuition per day. It is recommended that you have a driving test at the end of the intensive course and therefore you must have your theory test before you consider this option. For information on theory test.
In my opinion the best results are achieved when a pupil has 1.5/ 2 hours per week on approach to their theory test.Having passed your theory test you then have the option to continue with hourly lessons or take a more intensive course.
